What is FACTAscore™?
FACTAscore is a Security Risk Analysis tool designed to help organizations protect their customers' , clients', employees', patients', vendors', students', etc. NPI (Non-Public Information) using guidelines from regulations like:
- FACTA (Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act)
- Sarbanes-Oxley
- Gramm Leach Bliley Act
- and other Federal, State and International Laws.
Account owners can quickly identify questions which have been answered in the affirmative, negative or not yet addressed.
For example, here is a sample account working on their "Asset Management" questions. Notice they have answered NO, to question AM01, Yes to AM02 and AM03 and have not yet answered the rest of the category. Thus their current category score 125 or 13%.
More specifically, FACTAscore evaluates Non-Public Information security policies and procedures in 9 segments within a business. After logging into the FACTAscore account, the owner is presented with a simple one-page dashboard showing questions from those 9 categories:

The example below shows an office which has recognized a problem with paper disposal guidelines and is working to resolve.
Based on the evalution, a company receives a FACTAscore. The FACTAscore represents how well the company is protecting their Non-Public Information (NPI). Your 'FACTAscore' is a rating from 0 to 1,000 where a score of 1,000 represents the greatest active protection.
Monthly monitoring of changes in company improvements or regressions is included with the system.
Dynamic Scoring / Staying Compliant
Over time, YES questions expire. For instance, the client above with paper disposal issue may answer YES today. In about 6 months, the company is asked to review the YES answers. The process to reaffirm YES answers takes about 2 minutes.
